Laticrete® Hydro Ban™ is a thin, load-bearing waterproofing membrane and anti-fracture membrane. It is a single component self-curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane that bonds to a wide variety of substrates including copper, steel, stainless steel and PVC.

Floor Warming Applications:

Laticrete® Hydro Ban can be applied above or below an imbedded floor warming cable or mat system. It is used to provide waterproofing and anti-fracture protection. When installing a heated floor system in a wet area (such as a shower floor), Hydro Ban is applied over the imbedded cable just prior to the tile installation. This barrier membrane blocks water from reaching the cable, thereby keeping it dry and operating properly. When applied below an imbedded floor warming cable or mat system, Hydro Ban creates a barrier that can block moisture coming up from a concrete slab, and provide anti-fracture protection in the event the concrete cracks.
